This is one of the latest hits in Fashion and everyone seems to love it!!!!
I am not the type that usually buys all the latest trends once they are out, but the shoulder pads stole my heart for good. I still remember my mother in her 80's suits with the massive shoulder pads and hair perm and I also remember the soap Dynasty and all of its shoulder mysteries.

Now this trend has rocked several, if not all biggest fashion houses. Each designer has their own way approaching to the modern 'shoulder pad' - reinventing it, charging new life to it.
I find them flattering the body, there is a sharp statement of the neck, of the shoulders! and it gives any look a bit of an edge...and that's exactly what I love about it, the edginess..
Some of my favourite pieces with Shoulder Pads..

Shoulder pads
(fashion)

Shoulder pads are a type of fabric-covered padding used in men's and women's clothing to give the wearer the illusion of having broader, and less sloping shoulders.
In men's styles, shoulder pads are often used in suits, jackets and overcoats, usually sewn at the top of the shoulder and fastened between the lining and the outer fabric layer. In women's clothing, their inclusion depends on the fashions of the day. Their use is particularly associated with clothing of the early 1940s and the 1980s
